Where is our national data actually hosted?
Meridian data is hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure with enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit. Specific regional hosting options are available depending on your subscription tier.
Who can access our genomic data?
Access is governed by your data processing agreement and configurable permission settings. Note that Meridian's core models are trained on aggregated, de-identified patterns across the full network — including your contributions — to improve prediction accuracy for all partners.
Can we retain control over data generated by our surveillance programme?
In most cases, yes. National partners retain rights as set out in the applicable data-sharing agreement, subject to the platform terms of service and the operational requirements of continuous model improvement.
What happens to our data if we end our subscription?
Raw sequence data can be exported on request. Derived insights, model weights, and aggregated patterns generated in part from your data remain part of the Meridian network, as these cannot be meaningfully separated from data contributed by other partners.
Does this arrangement affect our data sovereignty?
We understand sovereignty is an important consideration for national programmes, and we're glad to discuss it further with your legal or ministry counterpart during onboarding.
